By changing your email address, you allow Apple emails to redirect to your new ID. This will not affect your previous conversation, i.e. previous e-mails to your previous e-mail address will not be displayed to your changed e-mail address. If there were any important exchanges via e-mails, you should transfer them manually; in case you close your old e-mail ID.
